NOTES:

The best time of day for your porch-trait is when the entire porch has no direct sunlight. Sunlight coming from the side and back are best.
Houses that face north or south can usually be photographed in mornings or afternoons.
Houses that face west are best photographed in the mornings.
Houses that face east are best photographed in the afternoons.

If you would like a shot that includes your entire house, you may prefer a time of year that your grass is green and your trees have leaves.
